How to support Battle Abbey School
One of the key objectives of the School Strategic Plan is for Battle Abbey School to remain one of the best small independent schools in the country; offering academic excellence together with exceptional pastoral care and personal development to its pupils.

The Development Office has been established to support the Strategic Plan, and one of the main goals is to continue to develop the facilities and resources of the school to fulfil the key objectives. Our aim is to bring former pupils, parents and staff together with the current Battle Abbey School community in support and understanding of the School’s present activities, and plans for the future.

Bursary Fund
As a small school we must continue to innovate and develop, ensuring that current and future pupils continue to benefit from an all-round education of exceptional quality. Our core income streams will continue to fund our day-to-day running and maintenance costs but they are not sufficient to fund major new initiatives, nor can they provide long-term financial endowments for our Bursary Fund to ensure that children with drive and talent, but without the financial means, are still able to access a Battle Abbey School education.

Please contact the Development Office for further information about our Bursary Fund and how to donate to this worthwhile and life-changing cause.

Legacies
If you are not in a position to support us with a donation at the present moment, but would like to play a vital part in ensuring that future generations of Battle Abbey pupils enjoy another 100 years of first-rate education in these historic buildings, you may like to consider leaving a gift to Battle Abbey School in your Will. For further information on how to do this, please contact Jemma Joyce our Alumni Relations & Development Officer on 01424 772385 or email: joycej@battleabbeyschool.com

Other ways to support
We are not just seeking financial assistance – you can support us in many ways; whether it is providing career advice to current pupils, or giving your time as a volunteer to help pupils perfect their interview techniques (see our Careers & Mentoring page for further information), or simply supporting one of our fundraising or FOBAS (Friends of Battle Abbey School) events. It all makes a huge difference, and is greatly appreciated.

FoBAS (Friends of Battle Abbey School)
The FOBAS Committee is a group of parents from the Nursery, Prep and Senior School; they meet once or twice per term and help organise a variety of events held at Battle Abbey School for pupils, parents, staff and friends. The money raised during these events is used to fund items that do not fall under existing educational or facilities budgets and promise to enhance the school experience, helping to improve educational or social activities for children in the school.
