Development Office - How to support Battle Abbey School

The Development Office has been set up as part of the wider School Development Plan, for Battle Abbey School to become one of the best small independent schools in the UK.

Our aim is to bring people together in support and understanding of the School’s present activities, and its plans for the future.

In order for us to maintain a strong link between our former pupils and staff, current and past parents, and other friends and supporters of the School, the Development Office helps co-ordinate the varied BAFPA activities and FOBAS events.  It is also the administrative centre for School fundraising initiatives.

Bursary Fund
As a small school we must continue to innovate and develop, ensuring that current and future pupils continue to benefit from an all-round education of exceptional quality.  Our core income streams such as fees will continue to fund our day-to-day running and maintenance costs but they are not sufficient to fund major new initiatives, nor can they provide long-term financial endowments for our Bursary Fund to ensure that bright children with drive and talent, but without the financial means, are still able to access a Battle Abbey education.

Please contact the Development Office for further information about our Bursary Fund and how to donate to this worthwhile and life-changing cause.

Legacies
If you are not in a position to support us with a donation at the present moment, but would like to play a vital part in ensuring that future generations of Battle Abbey pupils enjoy another 100 years of first rate education in these historic buildings, you may like to consider leaving a gift to Battle Abbey School in your Will.  For further information on how to do this, please contact Jemma Joyce our Alumni Relations & Development Officer on 01424 772385 or email: joycej@battleabbeyschool.com

Other ways to support
We are not just seeking financial assistance – you can support us in many ways; whether it is providing career advice to current pupils, or giving your time as a volunteer to help pupils perfect their interview techniques (see our Careers page for further information), or simply supporting one of our fundraising or FOBAS events.  It all makes a huge difference, and is greatly appreciated.
